**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Fence Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing minor repairs on various types of fences. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently.
**Responsibilities:**
- Inspect fences to identify damage, wear, or structural issues.
- Perform minor fence repairs, including but not limited to fixing loose boards, replacing damaged pickets, installing posts and repairing gates.
- Assess the need for materials and tools required for each repair job.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure a precise fit.
- Install and secure fence hardware, such as hinges, latches, and locks.
- Paint or stain repaired areas to match the existing fence.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate with clients to schedule jobs, provide repair estimates and explain the scope of work.
- Ensure the safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and hours worked for billing purposes.
- Assist in installation of iron railings as needed.
- Coordinate delivery/pickup of materials from powder coating.
- Pick up materials needed for fabrication/installation as required.
- Review upcoming installation jobs/communicate with Superintendents to see if jobs are ready.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in fence repair or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of different types of fencing materials and repair techniques.
- Basic carpentry skills and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Computer efficiency with CRM required. Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software is essential for maintaining accurate customer records, tracking service requests, and facilitating communication with clients. Candidates should be comfortable using CRM tools to streamline administrative tasks and improve customer service
**Working Conditions:**
- This role primarily involves outdoor work in different weather conditions.
- May require lifting heavy materials and the use of protective gear.
- Flexible work hours, including occasional weekends and evenings, depending on project demands.
- Schedule: 40 hour work week
- Monday- Friday 7:30-4:30 (1 hour Lunch)
